Twisted Sticks February 21st 2008
Old Business:
Tom – About the guest policy that John sent out I have
one question. Under new flyers it
could be forever there is no time policy.
Dale – We haven’t had a problem.
Tom – I would like to propose that we set a time
limit of 30 days.
VISITING FLYERS AND INVITEES – FEES AND RESTRICTION OF

guests must have a current AMA card. Maximum flying
privileges are 10 days per year.
Twisted Sticks will post at
the field 3 access telephone numbers, and information to
contact the club via E-mail or through the AMA register.

with AMA membership - fees are waived.
2. For all others a
current AMA card is required. A donation to the club
for field maintenance is welcome.
3. If a visitor or guest
fly more than 10 days per year and is not a guest of the
park we invite you to join Twisted Sticks R. C.
TRAINEES – FEES AND RESTRICTION OF FIELD USE
All trainees must
have a current AMA card.
Any trainee is required to
become a club member of Twisted Sticks R. C. to continue
flying after the training period has been completed or
30 days has elapsed.
Reference section (1)
trainees, potential new members must attend a club
meeting to be made aware of AMA and club rules
pertaining to safety and use of the field.
New Business:
Tom – Will anyone second the motion that the new bylaws
be adopted? The motion was seconded
and unanimously passed by those present.
Al – Regarding roofing
over the visitors picnic tables. I
would like to ask John McCumber’s opinion.
Barry – I’d just do it. John
– It wouldn’t hurt to ask. Tom –
We’re talking about a 16 foot long table like the one
build for the club table.
Tom – I’ve talked to
Ken McFarland and most likely Ken will not be joining us
this year. I did express to Ken that
we would miss his expertise at the field and hoped he
would feel free to show up at any time he felt up to it.
Tom – I did some more
research into the AMA rule on the one flight allowed on
a members buddy box to a visitor. It
is for one flight only, using the AMA flyers equipment
and insurance does not cover the visitor flying.
The only way to have
more visitor flights is to become a member of the AMA
Pilot program. It is a fairly
complicated program for a small club.
Barry – It would be
nice if some other people could come forward to help
train new pilots. Dale – Jim jumped
in last year and helped train. Al –
He helped me a lot. Russ - Having
different people train helps the trainee too.
Next meeting 7 PM
March 12th,
the meeting will be at Dale Kelly's house.
If anything changes Tom will announce it.
