Some Thoughts on June Flying

I guess that it started off bad for some of us. Dale called Barry to have him pick up his extra keys for his van, as he locked himself out. And everyone that knows Barry  knows that he would gladly pick them up for a little extra ribbing.

Russ had a hard time trying to get enough thrust out of his engine. It sounded like it would run great, just not pull any air. I guess that is what happens when you use a left hand pitched prop.

And what can I say, Richard didn't want to fly his plane (Parkzone p-51) so I did, or sort of. I can give you any number of reasons but it's not going too change the fact that I flew it to the ground. So I'll try ,

1. It was windy.

2. I lost orientation with the overcast sky.

3. It's just too fast for me.

4. He likes the trainer better anyway.

5. Barry likes it when I use a truck to retrieve my planes.

6. Gravity was strong that day !!

That is enough reasons for me. Give me more time and I can think of more poor excuses.

And the following was added by Barry.

#1.........The "grass Sasquatch" grabbed my plane
#2.........Dumb thumbs
#3.........There was "high pressure" in the area
#4.........I might have hit a bird
#5.........The ground rose up & smitteth my plane
#6.........Now just where did I put that darn trainer cord?
